Why I Joined
I previously worked in sales, but I was drawn to Okabe Valve because of its role in supporting social infrastructure. The deciding factor was seeing the active communication between employees during my office tour, which made me feel that it would be an easy place to ask for advice. I decided to join because I felt it was an environment where I could grow over the long term.
What is your current role?
It’s been about four months since I joined as a sales representative. With support from my supervisor, I handle a range of tasks including client visits, creating quotes, coordinating delivery dates, and responding to inquiries. I still have much to learn, but thanks to the thorough follow-up, the scope of my work is gradually expanding. I feel a great sense of joy when a quote I created leads to a successful order.
What is the office atmosphere like?
At its core, it’s an open, welcoming workplace with a strong training program. My supervisors encourage me to ask questions immediately whenever I’m unsure, creating an atmosphere where it’s very easy to seek help. Even when I make a mistake, they don’t blame me; instead, they provide guidance on how to apply the lesson next time, which gives me a great sense of security.
What are your future challenges and goals?
Currently, I proceed with my work while receiving instructions, but my future goal is to become a sales representative who can handle emergency situations independently. As I gain more experience, I hope to become someone who can pass on my own learnings to future junior colleagues.

A Message to Candidates
Okabe Valve is a company where you can be involved in important work that supports social infrastructure. With a solid training and support system, you can always ask for advice immediately if there’s something you don’t understand. I encourage anyone with a desire to grow through their work to take on this challenge.
How I Spend My Time Off
I unwind on my days off by taking day trips or watching movies. Recently, I climbed Mt. Tsukuba as recommended by my supervisor and felt a great sense of accomplishment. At home, I often relax by playing games, and I also value time spent going out with my colleagues.
