- ・Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability
- We collaborate with companies striving to reduce environmental impact through greenhouse gas reduction, energy saving, and resource circulation.
- ・Compliance and High Ethical Standards
- We select partners who comply with labor laws, environmental regulations, and fair trade practices with integrity.

Moving forward, we will further strengthen our CSR initiatives, including health management, and contribute to a healthy and sustainable society together with our business partners.
Environmental Initiatives
Energy-Saving Air Conditioning
We actively promote the use of hybrid fans that stir air to eliminate temperature unevenness in offices. This allows for a 1–3°C adjustment in temperature settings, significantly reducing power consumption and CO₂ emissions. These fans operate solely on the airflow from the air conditioner, requiring no additional electricity and no complex installation.
Water-Saving Initiatives
We are actively promoting eco-friendly, ultra-water-saving toilets. Toilets are used every day, so we believe that if each of us makes a conscious effort, it can have a significant positive impact on the future. This approach not only conserves water resources but also helps reduce CO₂ emissions. We strive to provide solutions that are considerate of both users—including those in commercial facilities and residential homes—and the environment.
Solar Power & Energy Conservation
We work to reduce power usage year-round through Cool Biz initiatives, optimized temperature settings, and automated PC power-off systems. Additionally, our Head Office is equipped with a solar power generation system to reduce fuel energy consumption.
Office Environmental Conservation
We promote a paperless office by digitizing meeting materials, invoices, delivery notes, and other business documents. At internal meetings, we avoid printing and distributing paper materials, and we keep paper storage to a minimum. In addition, from the perspective of resource conservation, we strive to reduce our environmental impact by using recycled paper products such as business cards and toilet paper throughout the office.
Logistics & CO₂ Reduction
We are committed to strictly enforcing the idling stop policy for our delivery and sales vehicles, as well as reducing waste by optimizing delivery routes. By flexibly selecting delivery trucks based on each vehicle’s load capacity and the locations of that day’s delivery sites, we minimize both mileage and the number of trucks required, thereby contributing to a reduction in CO₂ emissions.
Social Initiatives
Supporting Earthquake-Resistant Water Infrastructure
Major earthquakes have reaffirmed the importance of earthquake-resistant pipelines. We promote the use of earthquake-resistant ductile iron pipes nationwide to prevent infrastructure failure and ensure a stable water supply during disasters.
Safety Contributions in Medical Fields
In medical settings, preventing piping errors involving medical gases is vital. We provide copper pipes coated with color-coded films to prevent accidental misconnections, helping medical staff focus safely on patient care.
Infrastructure Improvements for Schools
Schools now serve as critical evacuation centers during natural disasters. We promote infrastructure improvements that ensure a comfortable learning environment for children and sanitary conditions for evacuees during emergencies.
Work-Life Balance Initiatives
We promote workstyle reform by reducing overtime and encouraging paid leave. Through initiatives like systems for declaring planned work-ending times and planned annual leave systems, we strive to optimize work-life balance for all employees.
Social Contribution through Recycling
Instead of simply disposing of or selling broken company PCs and damaged uniforms, we actively promote recycling initiatives that contribute to society through services such as “IT Reuse” and “Furugi de Vaccine,” which support job creation and developing countries. By utilizing these services, we contribute to a wide range of social initiatives, including creating employment opportunities for people with disabilities in Japan, elderly people in rural communities, and women in developing countries. These initiatives also help provide recycled PCs to elementary and junior high schools in Nepal and donate polio vaccines to children in developing countries. Through continued research and use of these kinds of services, we aim to expand opportunities for the socially responsible reuse of not only PCs and uniforms, but also other broken or damaged items.
Community Engagement
We contribute to our local communities by providing free parking spaces for neighborhood association festivals and supporting local cultural traditions.
Governance
Corporate Governance
We at Okabe Valve are committed to achieving sustainable growth and enhancing long-term corporate value. We believe that achieving these goals requires building strong relationships with all stakeholders—including shareholders, customers, business partners, local communities, and employees—while continuing to provide high-quality products that meet customer expectations. Based on this belief, we are committed to strengthening our corporate governance.
Business Continuity Plan (BCP)
In recent years, natural disasters such as major earthquakes, typhoons, and floods and landslides caused by heavy rainfall have posed significant risks to the continuity of economic and social activities. At Okabe Valve, we have established a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) that defines our basic policies, potential disaster scenarios, and emergency response framework in order to minimize business interruptions and ensure the stable supply of products and services to our customers even in the event of such disasters.
